First there existed The Courts of Chaos. Dworkin went forth from The Courts with the Jewel of Judgment and laid down the Pattern of Amber. When Amber and The Courts prepared for open conflict, Corwin son of Oberon took the Jewel of Judgment and laid down the Pattern of Zirconia. Somewhere in Shadow between Amber and the Courts of Chaos, the progeny of Corwin have grown to strength and stalk the land. Erkenbaud, Gault, Griffin, Rain, Ralthis, Staing, Tsukune, William ... These are some of the names found in the bloodline of Corwin.
